I can’t believe that a town would do what this one has to two Senior citizens. It is very obvious that what happened was due to the cleaning of the drains and not to anything that the home owner did. These two women spent their life savings to build this home and can no longer live in it. They are in a one room efficiency apartment and neither their homeowners nor the town of Hampden have done one thing to help. Their homeowners calls it a flood and said they didn’t have flood insurance and the town says they are not to blame. Shame shame on all of you.

I can not beleivve that this happened to anyone.
The town should step up and take care of this so these women could go on with their lives.

This is my grandmother and my great grandmother. and i’ve got to say, after staying with them for the summer this past summer i feel more horrible for them than i ever did before. and dont get my wrong, i felt unbelievably horrible about what theyre going through. To make it worse, they dont even have the money to go on vacation, to celebrate their life and their age. They shouldnt have to go through with this. No one should. But my grandmothers worked hard in their towns and for what they had in life. They deserved that home that they saved up for. And they deserve Hampden to pay them every cent for their home. and some. they went through too much for them to have to live in this one room apartment. my great grandmother is a respectable elderly lady and she should not being go through the trouble they are still going through. it has been way too long for them to be living miserably. If i had the money, id pay for them to have a home of their own. but unfortunatly im only nineteen and im in college. but if i can get a good job. you bet your ass ill be all over that town and the lawyers and my grandmothers will have a REAL home. its disgusting that a town would honestly treat someone so badly. i feel like they should have some serious court orders on them.
